Anyone tried this out?

QUOTE
Standard-definition movie rentals are $2.99 for library titles and $3.99 for new releases. And for just a dollar more, you can rent HD movies directly from your widescreen TV via Apple TV. Rent a movie and you have 30 days to start watching it. Hit Play, and you have 24 hours to finish it — or play it as many times as you want. Rentals disappear when they expire, so they won’t take up storage space on your hard drive.

What do you think in general? The future?

I don't see this driving blockbuster out of business any time soon (netflix might, but not this) and for the moment at least, I couldn't use this service if I wanted to.

What I do like is free tv and movies online. I've been using Hulu ad it's been great.

Call me old fashioned but I prefer a trip to the local video shop where I can have a steady browse through the titles and play free games, the fact the girls that work there are hot is a bonus too.

What shops are you going to? The places around here don't have free games, and are manned entirely by stereotypical nerds.

That said, I too prefer to browse in person rather than try to find something online.

It's just the local Blockbuster, they have either an X-Box and a Playstation with one of the latest titles on, you can play for free, as long as you don't take the piss and bring in a chair and a six pack obviously. The regular staff are 1 bloke and 3 girls (all hot). The guy who works there is pretty cool too, plus I beat his ass on most of the games, so he can stay.
