Well, I've done it. I've broken free from the shackles of modern fashion, and replaced them with the sweet caress of of a gentle breeze across my dangley parts.

I've gone kilted.

OK, so I only have one real kilt so far, but it's a start. And even though I've only had it for a day, I'm already looking at the next 6 kilts I'm gonna get (most notably, that nice utilikilt I've been wanting). And then I'll have enough to throw my pants out for good.

So anyway, the kilt I got is the solid black (AKA "ninja black") Sport kilt and I couldn't be happier with it. It's very nice, high quality, comfortable, and practical. And it really feels like I'm not wearing a damn thing.

So what do you guys think? Do you any of you ever wear kilts, or would you consider it? Or are you unable to deal with the idea of walking around in a manskirt?

Unfortunately I still don't have a camera, but being an amazingly talented artist, I have come up with this near photo-realistic drawing of myself in my new kilt:

I have one kilt, but I rarely wear it. I agree on the comfort aspect, but in a town like mine it attracts too much negative attention.

My second oldest nephew picked up a kilt when he was in Ireland. I don't know how often he wears it. He's proud of his Irish heritage.

I have never owned/worn one. Probably never will. Not in my part of the country. Too many damn rednecks.

"That sure is a purty dress there, boy!"

No, thanks.

But they probably are comfortable. I'm all about baggy clothes, less restriction.

That's actually one of the best parts about wearing a kilt. It's a conversation starter.

I'm pretty far behind enemy lines in the war on pants, but even here the positive responses outweigh the negative. And of course, the negative responses are just so predictable, it's easy to have a dozen answers ready for every comment. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. Not to mention the braveheart factor...

Of course, the most common response is just curiosity. Never before have so many girls asked about my underwear or lack thereof.

Anyway, for you I recommend the Utilikilt Workman's model.

It's manly enough to make any redneck jealous.

Yeah, it may not look like anything special, but it's the only kilt with an optional concealed carry pistol sleave
