Nothing like a little controversy to get people talking. Hence, todays topic: Abortion!
Before we begin, a quick reminder; Keep it civil. Don't insult others, don't say that their views are idiotic, and in general don't make it personal. If you can't play nice, then just ignore this topic and go talk about something else. OK?
So anyway, what does everyone here think about abortion? Is it always acceptable? Is it wrong after a certain point or under certain circumstances? Is it always wrong? (voiding extreme situations of course)
And more importantly, why?
I'm going to wait to weigh in on the issue, as I like to keep the starting post neutral, but I will go off on a slight tangent.
Am I the only one who thinks that guys get screwed over in all this. Men are not allowed to have any say in the decision of whether or not there will be an abortion (and laws requiring spousal approval have been universally struck down) but on the other hand, if the woman decides to keep the kid, the guy is financially liable for that child. You could say he should have thought of that before getting her knocked up, but the same could be said of a woman who wants an abortion. Isn't it a bit unfair for woman to have a way out but men can't get out of it? (not to mention cases where the father may want to have the kid)
