http://boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=2308&p=.htmSpider-Man 3 broke a couple records this past weekend. Setting single day, and weekend records by taking in $59.3 million on Friday and $148 million over the weekend.
Holy crap that's a lot of cheese.

Not surprising. The first one set a record. The second one set a record. The third one set a record. The fourth one will set a record. It's a license to print money.
I think there are more deserving movies, but they don't have the mass appeal. Think about it, it's a fun action movie, it's a good date movie, and it'll bring in millions of kids. it simultaneously gets the adult audiences and the oh so lucrative kiddie crowd. That's a rare combo.

I absolutely loved the first 2 spiderman movies, especially the second one. The third one was a major disapointement to me. The script and the dialogue were absolutely terrible. The action scenes were good but not great. I wanted to love it. I really wanted to but the stupid script just killed it for me !

I will have to say that I was really disappointed as well with SM3 ...it was just too much happening in it for me. There were way too many stories going on and maybe one too many bad guy.

I hated the first two, but enjoyed the third. Tobey Maguire was better in the role finally. Kirsten Dunst is still a horrible actress.

I almost fell asleep watching it. But decided Topher Grace is oo cute to be ignored.
Transformers poses a box-office record threat.
