It would have been easier to highlight the ones I hadn't seen. The ones with * at the end are the ones I own... not that many in comparrison, then again there are quite a few films I'd replace on that list, for instance theres no Night Of The Hunter or All The Presidents Men.

I could go on (and on and on and on and on... you get the idea), but hey, this is what happens when you let just about anyone vote.

I have to say Batman Begins, good film, but not the best Batman IMO.

hmmm curious... follow-up question... while I agree it probably doesnt deserve to be on the list... I am curious in your opinion what the better batman film is... I personally liked Begins over the others..... Forever maybe would be the toss up with it

For me it's Batman or Batman Returns, I thought Burton's Batman movies were way better than the others.

Ooh! A Batman thread, will have to let the obsessive compulsive in me to run wild in there in a moment.

As for movies on the list that really shouldn't be there, for one The Departed, its way too soon to be giving the 'classic' tag, plus Infernal Affairs is much better (although, I did like The Departed), the same goes for Batman Begins, Pan's Labyrinth and all the other films from the last 2 to 3 years. The 'test-o-time' factor hasn't had chance to kick in yet.

My views on LOTR is well known by now, I hope.

I have to say that batman begins definitely fit on the list given some of the others that made it *cough*sin city*cough* and of course, it isn't a very good "best movies of all time" list, but it is a good "here's 100 movies from a variety of genres that you probably should have seen at one point or another" list. I mean, if it were a "best movies" list, braveheart would be at the top.

I've only seen 51 and own 20. But my problem is that I don't usually watch movies made before the mid 60's. In some old movies I've seen they overact and I just can't get into the plot. I know because of this, I've missed some of the classics.
