I was reading this on another board earlier, and it was talking about someone that found a way to stop junk mail. This guy was putting stones in prepaid envelopes and sending it back to them, and they had to pay shipping costs.

I'm starting to think this might work, and I don't think its illegal. I'm sent junk mail on a daily basis, maybe this will work laugh.gif

It's a waste of your time and it's a method that's been around for years. Have you noticed a decrease in junk mail? Instead, why don't you do what makes more sense and is more responsible and have yourself removed from the mailing lists?

Stones won't do the job, but explosives might.

Seriously though, I do know a guy sent back junk mail covered with baby powder (or some other similar material) shortly after the big anthrax scare. Now I told him to start placing litebrites around town, but apparently it's too expensive.

i used to just take the prepaid envelope of one company and put the junk mail of another company in it and send them each others junk

lol thats a good one. did it actually work? I would love to see their face as they open junk mail from another company.

How would it work and why would the company care? The person opening the mail will just throw it away. (And if you put a prepaid envelope on a brick, the PO will trash it anyway.) No junk mail will stop. Again, there are safe and legitimate ways to make junk mail stop.

This may or may not work.. but it would still give me a good satisfactory feeling of getting them back. w00t.gif
Good methods, anomaly.

Having a PO box seems to have gotten me more junkmail lately too for some reason (versus having a box at my actual residence).
