I saw just a few minutes ago that there is a brother and sister in Germany who are trying to fight for their love for each other. They are blood relatives and they face jail if they keep fighting for their love, like they want to be married. What I would like to know if the wise people here on the forum agree or disagree, and maybe some in depth opinions on it?
I suppose technically, they are humans and everything, so in that sense (and in some countries, I'd imagine) it's okay, but I'd still be against it, if only for the birth defects in the children. It's one thing to say "well make it illegal for them to have kids" but let's be honest - who's going to stick to that if they're in love? It's not fair. Not only will the kids have to put up with constant "haha your mum and dad are brother and sister" and "you only have one set of grandparents", but they'll be born with no arms or three legs to boot (no pun intended).
So yeah, good for them and everything, but it's just not fair. Let it still be a taboo. If the love is true they'll probably be together anyway. But if you encourage it you'll have a lot of hassle on your hands, as well as a lot of deformed kiddies.

It sounds pretty sick to me.

definately should not be allowed. There are over 6 billion people on earth and if you can't find a better mate than your sister, your not looking hard enough. There are enough messed up people on earth and we don't need more.

See? This is what happens when you don't specifically define the parameters of marriage. Of course this is and should be illegal and immoral. What kind of parents did these children have that this "love" was allowed to develop?

Apparantly they didn't actually meet until they were in their late teens, but still, that's not really the point - I still don't think this should be allowed, if only for the children's sake.

Well, I guess you already know what I think about this sort of thing....

honestly, I'm not aginst it, if thats how they truely feel, then let them be. Life is too short to worry about the little things in life, and they're not going to change because people around them are aginst it.

OK, let me rephrase that. People who have been here long enough to remember hearing about my sister/ex-girlfriend should know how I feel about this sort of thing.
I am against it.

Thats truly sick, I run my life according to the bible and its wrong. Its just my opinion and no one has to follow it.

For the reasons that the thread starter stated, I can't possibly support this. It would be one thing if they were only harming themselves, but this will harm the lives of many others as well.

I think this is the grossest thing. This is not right for many reasons. One the biggest is yuck! The second if the fact that if they do have kids, they are very likely to have birth defects, or have many other problems.

Society's growing tolerance and promotion of homosexual marriage/unions and special homosexual "civil rights" has opened the gates for other forms of immoral behavior like this to become more rampant and eventually "acceptable."
I don't really care what adults do to each other behind closed doors - that is their business. But there is no need to make it everyone else's business.
