Miracle is ok, it has enough of a feel good factor to please most, plus it has Kurt Russell, which is always a bonus. I still say
Slap Shot is the best Hockey film of all time.
As for other sports,
Friday Night Lights was well worth a watch, but I'm not sure about how many repeat viewings it would get here at SNE towers.
For The Love Of The Game was ok, you know, for a Kevin Costner movie, but credit where credit is due, it was directed by Sam Raimi, so it gets a pass on this occassion.
He Got Game is quite good, one of Spike Lee's better efforts (
Do The Right Thing is still my fave Lee movie), more about the people rather than the game of basketball, but Denzil Washington puts in a solid performance, plus it has Milla Jovovich (

), top soundtrack to boot.
If we can include fictional sports then a shout out has to go to the criminally overlooked
Rollerball. No, not the remake with Dean Cain, the original with James Caan. Brilliant, just brilliant. Now, thats a sport I'd watch.
