Perhaps. Though I think the obvious choice for that title would be Seinfeld. However, Arrested Development is one of the freshest, funniest, and most fabulous sitcoms I have ever seen. I would highly recommend renting the DVDs. The first season is solid, but the Emmy award-winning second season is where it really takes off. There are only 3 seasons and they aren't even a full 22 episodes so it doesn't take too long to get through it. But seriously, just watch it. You will not be sorry.

Intelligent comedy rarely lasts. I hate sitcoms, and even I loved it. Just so sad. However, I think scrubs is probably funnier, but not as well written.

Scrubs is cute, but it gets really annoying really fast. AD only lasted for 3 seasons, which i am sort of grateful for now because had it gone on longer it might have slowly deteriorated like Scrubs. Although, it could have flourished in popularity and critical acclaim like Seinfeld did. We'll never know.

I don't think it could have matched Seinfeld but i would have enjoyed a few more seasons.
