It seems that the UMD (Universal Media Disc) which lets you buy movie titles for the PSP, may be on the outs, probably due to the fact that most people just convert their DVDs and play them through the memory card. Anyway studios are thinking about reducing titles and stores are thinking about reducing self space, the signs are not looking good.

I could have told Sony before they released UMD that it wouldnt work...

Yeah, people just aren't prepared to convert all of their DVDs this soon. Especially to something that has such a small screen and short battery life. It's easier to just by a portable DVD player.

^ i think people are doing the converting, they are not buying the new versions of there movies on UMD, but as you said this is not suprise.
