Finally, the new SPIDERMAN villans!

It’s been quite some time now that folks have been running around trying to find out the villains in the next Spidey flick. People have been swapping rumor for rumor with the occasional piece of truth interweaved within. Even those of us with no real interest in SPIDERMAN 3 kind of want to know now that it has been hyped so much...

Okay, no more leading you on…In a recent interview with zap2it.com, while promoting her new film ELIZABETHTOWN, Kirsten Dunst let a big secret out. If this bomb-drop was not planned by the studios someone might even be a little angry over this, but really, who cares about them anyway? We want to know now, dammit!

Kirsten had this to say: "We have really great people though as the villains in this film, Thomas Haden Church and Topher Grace -- Venom and Sandman," it would seem that she realized her mess-up, adding, "maybe I wasn't supposed to say that." Venom and Sandman. Now that the cat is out of the bag, you have to admit that this is pretty cool. Both these characters have been high on the list in recent rumors, but nothing has been official until now. It will be very interesting to see how they pull these two characters off, as they are probably two of the hardest characters to do live-action: what with sand flying everywhere and Venom’s transforming costume.



Now it's finally starting to sound like the new SPIDERMAN has some real promise, and it actually might not disappoint as the third film in the series.

YES! Venom rocks! Sandman is okay, often copied etc, but Venom rocks. Being a proper geek I collect Spiderman comics and was praying that they would use Venom. Now all I have to do is wait about 2 years until they release it, should be good. I hope Toby signs up for some more films after this one. Though the main question is will it be better than the new planned Batman, if they release them at the same time there could be a Super-hero face off.



I wonder who would win in an actual fight? My money would be on Spidey.

I want to know how they are going to have Venom and Sandman AND do away with Green Goblin in the same movie (if indeed thats whats going to happen).

And Spidey vs. Batman: My money is probably on Spiderman but damn Batman is slick..

i'm pretty suprised that Venom is in this, especially considering Raimi said on several occasion he wouldn't use Venom and hated the character

so r they gonna do the whole story of spiderman using the symbiote at first then trying to kill it and then it going to brock
