One of the oldest mysteries of this site. Before it became Cinephiliacs, this place was enigmatically called Cavola. We were promised an explanation - eventually - but the man responsible for naming us is no longer around, and we're left with this towering unsolved mystery.

Please halp!? I've scoured the interwebs but can not find ANYTHING that can remotely explain the origins of the word Cavola. If anybody here can shed any light on it, you are officially the gnarliest dude (or dudette) ever to grace this forum.
